Refer to the steps below to facilitate the automatic upgrade of the GYTPOL Sensor on your workstations and servers.
SaaS Deployment
You can utilize Sensor update batch tasks for computer groups, whether they're built-in or custom. Before configuring the update task, ensure you've created any custom groups required. To review or create a computer group, consult this guide: <LINK>
Â
Navigate to the "Settings" option in the left pane, then proceed to select "System Health".
Click on "New" within the Automated Client Update Batches section located at the bottom half of the screen.
Type the Batch Name and choose the relevant computer group from the provided list. You have the option to utilize either built-in groups or custom ones.
Please exclude "All my devices" from the batch creation, as this group can't be used for auto-upgrade.
For custom groups, ensure they have been created beforehand. Please consult this guide to create custom groups: UI2 - Creating Computer Groups
Ensure that the "Enabled" checkbox is selected.
Select the schedule window for the batch to execute:
ASAP: The update task will be executed by the GYTPOL Sensor’s hourly check-in, assuming the computer and Sensor are active.
After time: Only after a designated [hour] and within the provided time [window].
After day/time: On the next specified [day] and only after a designated [hour] within the provided time [window].
After confirming all the details, click on "Update".
Upon completion, you will find the newly created task listed in the task inventory.
To modify the update task, click on "Edit". To remove it, simply check and select the task, then click on "Delete".
Monitoring Upgrade Progress and Sensor Health
To monitor the upgrade progress or assess its efficacy, log in to the GYTPOL web portal. Navigate to the System Health dashboard by expanding the Settings panel on the left side of the screen. From there, you can monitor the Sensors' health status and verify that all Sensors have successfully upgraded to the latest version by reviewing their status on the dashboard. This allows you to ensure that the upgrade process is working as intended and that all Sensors are running the latest software version.
