POC Process
First Meeting (45 mins) – POC Kick off, we will deploy Gytpol to some of the devices in scope and provide a show and tell as to how to do this. Thereafter you will then work to deployed Gytpol to the remaining devices in scope (Up to 50 devices, we recommended privileged users and servers of interest!)
Second Meeting (45 mins to 1 hour) – Mid Eval Sync we will review the data as the great thing about Gytpol is we receive result within the hour of deployment. The focus of this session is to provide context around the findings and recommendations as to best practices, i.e. quick wins (we start the remediation that can absolutely have no impact) the idea is to start exercising Gytpol’s value of closing gaps.
Third Meeting (45 mins to 1 hour) End of Eval review – much the same as the previous, review all data and remediations and any question, queries concern.
POC Pre-reqs
At GYTPOL, we offer two types of POC - a SaaS (Cloud) option and an on-prem installation. Consult with the GYTPOL representative and choose the approach that suits you best.
SaaS POC
SaaS POC is pretty straight forward and all the relevant info is in this document: SaaS On-Boarding - GYTPOL
On-prem POC
The on-prem POC setup/process comprises of a few main steps:
Prepare a Windows Server/VM - Prepare using the specs in the document located here: GYTPOL Validator | System Requirements for onPrem . It includes a few additional things over and above a standard Windows Server installation
Create a domain user for GYTPOL
Create a CNAME DNS entry and open a couple of ports on the firewall.
Please use the server sizing for up to 5,000 devices for this POC. There is NO NEED to install a SQL server.
Run Pre-Checker Tool - In the same document you will find instructions on how to run the pre-checker tool. This tool is used to ensure that the server has been stood up correctly based on our instructions. Once the checker tool has been run – see the results and fix the needed. Click “Export results” and email GYTPOL representative the output. Once we have that information, we can send you the necessary packages to download prior to our kickoff meeting/installation.
Install MSI & Kickoff Meeting - Once the items above have been completed, we will send out the packages for you all to install on your targeted machines. This can be done using several methods. We will conduct a kickoff meeting in which we will assist you in completing the installation.
