From time to time, a new GYTPOL client Sensor is introduced.

Upon completion of thorough testing and endorsement for public distribution, the GYTPOL team will furnish you with a link to upgrade your current clients Sensors to the latest version.

Refer to the steps below to facilitate the automatic upgrade of the GYTPOL client Sensor on your workstations and servers.

SaaS Deployment

You can utilize client Sensor update batch tasks for computer groups, whether they're built-in or custom. Before configuring the update task, ensure you've created any custom groups required. To review or create a computer group, consult this guide: <LINK>

  1. Click on "New" within the Automated Client Update Batches section located at the bottom half of the screen.

  2. Type the name for the batch Batch Name and choose the relevant computer group from the provided list. You have the option to utilize either built-in groups or custom ones.

    • Please exclude "All my devices" from the batch creation, as this group can't be used for auto-upgrade.

    • For custom groups, ensure they have been created beforehand. Please consult this guide to create custom groups: UI2 - Creating Computer Groups

  3. Ensure that the "Enabled" checkbox is selected.

  4. Select the schedule window for the batch to execute:

  • ASAP: The update task will be executed by the GYTPOL Client’s Sensor’s hourly check-in, assuming the computer and client Sensor are active.

  • After time: Only after a designated [hour] and within the provided time [window].

  • After day/time: On the next specified [day] and only after a designated [hour] within the provided time [window].

To modify the update task, click on "Edit". To remove it, simply check and select the task, then click on "Delete".

Sensor Health

To monitor the upgrade progress or assess its efficacy, log in to the GYTPOL web portal. Navigate to the System Health dashboard by expanding the Settings panel on the left side of the screen. From there, you can monitor the clientsSensors' health status and verify that all clients Sensors have successfully upgraded to the latest version by reviewing their status on the dashboard. This allows you to ensure that the upgrade process is working as intended and that all clients Sensors are running the latest software version.
